Getting started

How do I install Job Compass?

Open the Chrome Web Store listing and click Add to Chrome. The extension installs in a few seconds. After install, pin Job Compass from Chrome's extension menu so its icon stays visible in the toolbar.

Then open any LinkedIn page. The Job Compass overlay docks into the top-right corner of linkedin.com. Sign in with email + password, Google, or LinkedIn — you'll be ready to search inside one minute.

Where do I upload my resume?
Open the Job Compass overlay and click the Profile tab. Drop your resume PDF into the upload area — Job Compass parses it on the spot to extract skills, years of experience, and seniority signal. You can re-upload any time; rankings update on the next page load.
Does it work outside LinkedIn?
No. Job Compass is intentionally scoped to linkedin.com. It runs as an overlay on the pages you already use; it does not read or send anything from any other site.

How ranking works

What does the match score mean?

Every job gets a blended 0–100 match score. Three sub-scores feed it:

  • Skills — how many of the job's required skills appear on your resume.
  • Experience — whether your years of relevant experience meet the listing's expectation.
  • Seniority — whether the role's seniority band (junior / mid / senior / staff) aligns with your trajectory.

Hover the score badge in the overlay to see the breakdown and the specific skill matches that drove it.

Why did a job I think I'm great for score low?
Almost always, your resume is missing a keyword the job description requires. Open the score breakdown to see which skills the listing wants and your resume is missing — then either re-upload an updated resume, or accept the score and decide if you want to apply anyway.

Managing your answer bank

What is the answer bank?
Every time Job Compass auto-fills an Easy Apply form, it saves the question and your final answer. The next time the same question shows up — at any company — the answer pre-fills. You always review before submit; nothing sends on its own.
How do I edit or delete an answer?
Open the overlay and click Saved Answers. You can edit any answer inline, or delete answers you'd rather Job Compass forget. Deleting an answer means the next occurrence of that question will be asked fresh.
Will my answers be reused for someone else?
No. Your answer bank is per-account and row-level isolated on the backend. Other Job Compass users never see your answers, and AI generations are not used to train any model.

Billing & cancellation

How do I upgrade to Pro?
Open the overlay, click Billing, then choose Upgrade to Pro. Razorpay handles checkout — INR ₹999/month or USD $15/month. Pro features unlock immediately on payment confirmation.
How do I cancel?
Same place: Billing Cancel subscription. No email, no retention call. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep Pro features until then.
Can I get a refund?
If a paid feature didn't work as described within 14 days of purchase, email support@insightron.ai and we'll refund in full.

Privacy questions

Does Job Compass see my LinkedIn password?
No. Job Compass reads your existing browser session — the same way the LinkedIn tab itself does. Your password never touches the extension.
Does my data train an AI model?
No. We send prompts to OpenAI and Anthropic to generate answers and draft outreach, but we don't train any model on your data, and the providers we use don't either by default.
How do I delete or export my data?
Email support@insightron.ai. We'll send a JSON export, or wipe every row keyed to your account, within 7 days. See the Privacy Policy for the full data list.
